I started playing hockey shortly before I turned 50. Crazy, right? My amazing friend Deirdre Looney tried for years to get me to play, but I successfully avoided it for a long time. She can be very persistent however, and despite the fact that I thought I was too old, she finally wore me down. I loved it immediately! My first season was cut short by a broken leg, crutches, a brace and 8 months of physical therapy. That was clearly a sign that I needed to get my act together and figure out how to avoid getting hit. So, I enlisted some incredible boys to tutor me and now I feel super lucky to be able to play with the ladies of MsConduct again this year.

What is something people don’t know about you? I am very hard of hearing so please don’t judge me if I seem like I’m ignoring you. I simply don’t hear very well. (But if you’re boring, I am ignoring you.)
